The Harwich Society’s visitor attractions will open their doors during the Harwich Shanty Festival, from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026, offering festivalgoers the chance to explore the town’s fascinating history alongside the music.
From the High Lighthouse and historic Treadwheel Crane to the Maritime Museum, Lifeboat Museum and Redoubt, there will be plenty to discover throughout the weekend. Visitors can also explore the Radar Tower on Sunday, while Foresters will open the Society’s archives on Saturday and Sunday.
The Harwich Society’s volunteers look forward to welcoming local residents and visitors.
