The Harwich Society quiz team will be running a music quiz at the Royal Oak public house on Monday 11th April commencing at 8PM.
The proceeds will be passed to Les Niccol who is heading up the team that is overseeing our local response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Garry Calver, who, along with Lynsey Calver, compiles the music quizzes says, “It’s about doing what you can and the Harwich Society Quiz Team can run a quiz night. It really is as simple as that. Our music quizzes are very popular so hopefully we will be able to raise some funds for a very good cause.”
The quiz will consist of 100 pieces of popular music dating from the 1960s through to the present day and all teams have to do is identify the artist. The quiz is for teams of up to eight people at £2 per head and there is no need to book a table in advance. Raffle prizes will be gratefully received.
“It is a little while since we have been able to run a music quiz so we are very much looking forward to it,” continued Garry Calver. “They are always a lot of fun and if we can raise some money to help in Ukraine while enjoying ourselves then it will be a good way to spend Monday evening!
