Two Harwich Society events cancelled as a precaution against Coronavirus

In light of the present advice to avoid unnecessary gatherings the Harwich Society has cancelled its monthly meeting and talk scheduled to take place on Friday 27th March in the Navigator in Barrack Lane and its monthly quiz night scheduled to take place at the Royal Oak public house on Monday 6th April.

Harwich Society chairman, Colin Farnell, says, “It is a shame to have to cancel these very popular events but, in truth, they are only social occasions and we are not going to put anyone’s health at risk during the present situation.”

The Harwich Society will consider advice as it becomes available and will take any necessary decisions as the situation develops.

“We appreciate that these cancellations will cause disappointment but we are equally sure that everyone will understand,” continued Colin Farnell.
