The Harwich Society Quiz Team runs monthly General Knowledge quiz nights at the Royal Oak in Dovercourt to raise funds for the Harwich Society.
In addition, the team runs three or four music quiz nights each year for other local good causes and the first music quiz of 2024 is in aid of Harwich’s Ark Centre.
The quiz is put together by Lynsey and Garry Calver and consists of 100 pieces of popular music from the 1960s to the present day. All that teams have to do is identify the artist.
The quiz will take place in the Royal Oak public house on Monday 12th February starting at 8PM and is for teams of up to eight people at £2 per head.
Garry Calver says, “We were sorry to hear that the Ark Centre was having problems as its work is so important to Harwich. It’s fantastic how everyone has rallied round to help and this fund raising music quiz is the Harwich Society’s way of showing its support. I’m sure it is going to be a lot of fun.”
