A charity quiz night is to take place at the Dovercourt Rugby Club on Wednesday 18th February as a fund raiser for the Mayor’s Consort appeal.
Cllr. Dave Chable is acting as consort to Harwich’s Mayor, Cllr. Pam Morrison, and his chosen charities for the year are all youth related.
Cllr. Dave Chable says, “My chosen charities for the year are the 4th Dovercourt Sea Scouts, the youth section of the rugby club, the 1st and 2nd Parkeston Scout Group and PAC which is a local youth theatre group. I am very grateful to the rugby club for offering to host a quiz night for my charity appeal and I hope it will be well supported.”
The quiz will begin at 7.30PM and is for teams of up to 8 at £2 per head. There is no need to book a table in advance and any raffle prizes will be gratefully received. The Harwich Society’s Quiz Team will be running the quiz with James Smith acting as quiz master.
“The Harwich Society monthly quiz is always a great night and I am grateful to them for offering to run this quiz for my charities,” continued Dave Chable. “Young people locally deserve our support and it is lovely to have this opportunity to assist some very good local causes.”
