Historic Harwich will be at the heart of ‘Heritage Open Days’

The Harwich Society is a great supporter of the National Trust’s ‘Heritage Open Days’ initiative and, as a result, all of its visitor attractions will be open free of charge over the weekend of Saturday 13th September and Sunday 14th September.

Strolling around the narrow streets of this historic old seaport which contains a wonderful array of centuries old buildings is always a great experience but on this particular weekend visitors can explore those owned and managed by the Harwich Society free of charge.

Harwich Society chairman, Andy Schooler, says, “The weekend of Heritage Open Days is a big favourite with our Harwich Society volunteers who are proud of Harwich’s history and heritage and who enjoy showing it off to visitors.  I am sure that this year’s event will be another great success.”
