The Harwich Society has held a monthly quiz night in the Royal Oak public house since July 2013. These very popular, fun evenings had to be suspended in March 2020 as a result of the pandemic and, although a monthly quiz has been posted on line throughout the COVID-19 restrictions, it is over 500 days since a face-to-face quiz has taken place.
The Harwich Society Quiz Team, in consultation with the Royal Oak, now believes that the time has come to resume the quizzes so the first one will take place in the hall of the Royal Oak on Monday 6th September starting at 8PM.
Garry Calver from the Harwich Society Quiz Team, says, “It doesn’t seem possible that it is so long since we all quizzed together and we are really looking forward to laughing, singing and quizzing together once again. It will be great to see familiar faces and we hope to see new ones as well. Everyone is welcome.”
The quiz nights are open to all and are for teams of up to 8 people at £2 per head.
